Other References to Tir Penrhos Isaf.
Since we began work on the land in 1986, the reputation of Tir Penrhos Isaf as a demonstration Permaculture holding has spread both nationally and internationally. It was one of the earliest sites to be established in Britain (the wilderness regeneration area was begun in 1986) and now provides a working example of Permaculture in practice. During that time we have received visitors from throughout Britain and abroad. We have had volunteer workers including WWOOFers and taken students for Work Experience placements from a number of Colleges.
Other students have visited in order to write theses on the holding and Permaculture Design, some of which have gone on to be published. We have had staff visitors from various universities, colleges and other reputable bodies and been invited to give presentations on a number of courses. Tir Penrhos Isaf has also featured in a number of books and magazines and we have been interviewed on a national radio farming program.
We have listed below some of these additional references and also a selection of visitors during the period.
